Privacy policy
Short version: the tools run in your browser, set no cookies and store no measurements. The only thing we keep is an anonymous count that a test was finished, which cannot be linked to you.
Who we are
DPI Analyzer (dpi-analyzer.com) is run by 1000 Ventures. Contact: michael@1000ventures.io.
Your measurements stay on your device
The DPI analyzer, the polling rate test and both calculators do all their work in your browser. Mouse movement is read only while a test is running, only inside this page, and is thrown away when you leave the page. Your movement data, distances, sensitivities and run lists are never sent to a server and never saved. The only thing that leaves the page is the rounded usage count described below.
The DPI analyzer uses the browser's pointer lock. While it is active the cursor is hidden and the page reads mouse movement; press Esc at any time to release it.
Anonymous usage statistics
When you finish a test or a calculation, we count that in an anonymous, aggregate statistic. A count contains only the event (for example that a DPI test finished), a rounded category of the result (the DPI rounded to a step of 50, the polling rate rounded to a step of 125 Hz, or which calculator was used), a country-level location, your device type and the hour. We store no IP address, set no cookies and attach no identifier, so no count can be linked to you. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we count nothing at all.
Cookies and local storage
We set no cookies and write nothing to your browser's storage.
Hosting
The site is served by our hosting provider, which processes your IP address to deliver pages and may keep it in short-lived server logs, as web servers do. We do not use those logs for analytics.
Advertising
This site currently shows no ads. If that changes, we will name the ad partner, its cookies and the consent options here before the first ad appears.
Your rights (GDPR)
We operate from the EU and aim to comply with the GDPR. Because the tools collect no personal data, there is normally nothing personal we hold about you. Write to the address above with any request.
Changes
We update this page when what we do changes. Last reviewed .
