What is my eDPI?

Enter your mouse DPI and in-game sensitivity and this eDPI calculator multiplies them. Pick your game to also see how far you move the mouse for a full 360 degree turn.

Don't know your DPI? Measure it with the DPI analyzer. Everything runs in your browser.

Your eDPI

1,200

800 DPI times 1.5 sensitivity.

One full turn (360 degrees)

34.6cm

13.6 inches of mouse movement.

What is eDPI?

eDPI, short for effective DPI, is your mouse DPI multiplied by your in-game sensitivity. It tells you how fast your aim really is, because a high DPI with a low sensitivity can turn exactly as fast as a low DPI with a high one.

For example, 400 DPI at sensitivity 2, 800 DPI at sensitivity 1 and 1600 DPI at sensitivity 0.5 all have an eDPI of 800. In the same game they feel identical.

How do I calculate eDPI?

Multiply the two numbers: eDPI = DPI × sensitivity. That is all the calculator above does for the first number. Use your measured DPI if you can, since the label on the mouse can be a few percent off. The DPI analyzer measures it in under a minute.

Why eDPI does not compare across games

Every game turns the camera by its own number of degrees per count at sensitivity 1. Counter-Strike 2 turns 0.022 degrees, Valorant 0.07 and Overwatch 2 0.0066. So an eDPI of 800 in Valorant turns more than three times faster than 800 in CS2. Compare eDPI only between games on the same scale, such as CS2 and Apex Legends.

What is cm/360 and why use it?

cm/360 is how far you move the mouse, in centimeters, to spin a full circle in the game. It folds DPI, sensitivity and the game's own scale into one physical distance, so it works across every game and every mouse. The formula is:

cm/360 = 360 ÷ (yaw × sensitivity) ÷ DPI × 2.54

A lower number means faster aim. If you want the same feel in a second game, keep the cm/360 the same. The sensitivity converter does that for you.

Which games does the calculator know?

GameDegrees per count at sensitivity 1
Counter-Strike 2 and CS:GO0.022
Apex Legends0.022
Team Fortress 20.022
Quake Champions0.022
Valorant0.07
Overwatch 20.0066
Call of Duty (MW III, Warzone, Black Ops 6)0.0066

We only list games whose sensitivity is a plain multiplier. Games with percentage sliders or several stacked multipliers are left out rather than guessed. The sources for each value are on the about page.

What is a good eDPI?

The one where you can make small corrections without overshooting, and still turn around without running out of mouse pad. Start from your current setting, then change it in steps of about 10 percent and play a few sessions with each. Copying a number from someone else rarely works without that adjustment, because arm length, pad size and grip all differ.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate eDPI?
Multiply your mouse DPI by your in-game sensitivity. 800 DPI at sensitivity 1.5 is an eDPI of 1,200.
Can I compare eDPI between games?
Only between games that share the same sensitivity scale, like CS2 and Apex Legends. To compare across games, use cm per 360, which this calculator also shows.
What is cm/360?
It is how many centimeters you move the mouse to turn a full circle in the game. It combines DPI, sensitivity and the game's own scale into one number you can feel.
What is a good eDPI?
There is no single good value, because it depends on the game and your arm. Start from what feels controllable for small aim corrections and still lets you turn 180 degrees without running out of pad.
